DEAN JABARI SIMS
As founding dean of Relay Dallas-Fort Worth, Jabari Sims oversees the Metroplex’s growing teacher-preparation programs. A Louisiana native, Sims started his career as a teacher in Houston, Texas. He eventually moved to New York City, where he taught and served in several education and school leadership positions and was a founding principal at an elementary school in Brooklyn. During his time teaching in the Bronx, Sims’s fourth-grade students earned the highest test scores in the state and were featured in the New York Daily News. Sims earned his MEd in education administration from National Louis University, as well as a BA in English from Dillard University.
