While applying to AmeriCorps is a requirement of the Relay Teaching Residency, not all Residents will be eligible or selected for AmeriCorps membership because of the limited number of AmeriCorps member positions.
If you are not selected for AmeriCorps membership, but you do complete the AmeriCorps application process, you will be eligible for a Relay Residency Scholarship instead of the AmeriCorps Segal Education Award.
Residents who do not apply for AmeriCorps will not receive an AmeriCorps Segal Education Award or Relay Residency Scholarship. They must pay the full tuition amount out of pocket.
