How will attendance be graded if we have to move to an online format? Your presence in the synchronous online session will be used to assess attendance.
What if I can't film for an assignment? How will this impact our finals and ability to film? What happens here may be dependent upon your specific state requirements and guidelines. It will also depend upon if your school remains open. If it does you can consult with your professor/advisor and let them know if outside visitors are allowed at school and if they can come to see you. If not you will be given the option of videoing your class and uploading it to Canvas where your advisor will observe it and schedule a time to meet with you on Zoom to debrief. If your school closes your advisor will let you know how this will be addressed when schools reopen.

What if I have an upcoming Gateway?
If your school is open and you are attending, we will arrange to do Gateway observations via video so we can continue to score and provide you with meaningful feedback.
If your school is not open or you are not able to attend for health reasons, your campus Director of Residency will be in touch as to how to proceed. Campuses have the flexibility to adjust due dates based on Resident needs.
How will we do DP? Deliberate Practice will move online. We do have experience running DP in an online setting, so we will focus on planning and execution practice that is conducive to Zoom. Your campus will put together a plan to appropriately adjust Deliberate Practice content, participation, and practice procedures to ensure we can still maximize this time for your development.
How would this impact certification? In the event that schools close and/or we receive word from state regulatory agencies that certification-related activities (e.g., observations, testing, etc.) should be temporarily halted, we will be in contact with you to inform of next steps. Until then, you should continue to work towards completing any certification-specific requirements unless you hear otherwise from Relay and/or your state department of education. If you have underlying health issues, think that you may have high-, medium-, or low- exposure risk to COVID19, or if you have an additional context that would cause you undue harm to continue to progress towards certification requirements, please let us know by emailing support@relay.edu and we will work to determine the appropriate next steps in alignment with the CDC.
