While times may be uncertain, we are inspired by your continued commitment to students and excited that you are moving forward with plans to teach. For many of Relay’s graduate programs, certification is an important step to becoming a great teacher. Here you will find guidance on pursuing certification.
What must I do in regards to certification before starting the Relay program?
If you are seeking certification with Relay, there are a series of milestones based on the state education agency’s certification requirements. You may read more about your state’s certification requirements, including the timeline of these milestones in the Relay State Certification Guides for each campus that can be found here.
All testing centers in my area are currently closed. How do I take my certification test prior to starting the Relay program?
We have been notified from ETS and Pearson that some testing centers are now open, but there may be limited availability in your area. As a result, some states have provided waivers or extensions to complete certification exams (see whether this applies to your state here). We encourage you to continue studying for your certification exams and check regularly for testing availability in your area. ETS has also begun offering At-Home testing for some Praxis exams (learn more here).
Although we may not have all the answers to your questions and concerns, we want to know what’s on your mind so we can support you as best we can. Please reach out to firstname.lastname@example.org.
