Pearson, the Texas Education Agency's (TEA) designated testing vendor, reopened testing centers on May 1, 2020. You can reschedule your test at no additional cost; see here for more information. Please monitor updates on the Pearson website for information regarding testing center closures.
TEA will be granting emergency Probationary Certificates to teacher candidates already on an Intern Certificate that were unable to complete their testing requirements because of test center closures. Information about this emergency certification was sent in the campus weekly email and presented during class. Reach out to firstname.lastname@example.org with any questions.
All certification-seeking candidates who do not qualify for the emergency Probationary Certificate are expected to complete any remaining requirements within their control by June 30, 2020.
Summer Class Logistics
The Relay San Antonio Summer I Session is scheduled for July 8-10 and 13-17, 2020. All sessions will be held via online synchronous instruction.

Current Graduate Students
Relay San Antonio Classes
All Relay San Antonio classes for the 2019-20 school will be conducted online through June 5, 2020 (Summer II). Current graduate students will continue to receive class logistics from their professors.

At the time of this writing, the TEA has not indicated any changes or exceptions to the policy regarding testing and certification. They are currently working towards a solution to ensure qualified, certified teachers are leading our state's classrooms. All updates will be posted on the Campus Bulletin and shared in your faculty advisor's weekly email.
In the event that testing centers do not reopen in a timely and accessible manner, deadline exceptions will be made for students with active testing permissions. All certification-seeking candidates are expected to complete any remaining requirements within their control by June 30, 2020.
Relay Tuition & Financial Options
Federal Loans: All borrowers with federally held student loans will automatically have their interest rates set to 0% for a period of at least 60 days. In addition, borrowers now have the option to suspend their payments without accruing interest for at least two months to allow them greater flexibility during the national emergency. To request this forbearance, borrowers should contact their loan servicer online or by phone.
Relay San Antonio Class of 2020 Graduation
The Class of 2020 Graduation ceremony is scheduled for Saturday, August 22, 2020, at The Garage at The Pearl. If circumstances require any changes, new information will be posted here as well as emailed directly to the Class of 2020 students.
