What if I don't have a camera on my computer? If you have a smartphone you can download the Zoom app to your phone, and sign in from your phone for the camera feature, and sign in from your computer to access materials.
What if I have trouble getting on the internet? You can check your internet speed here. Ideal internet speeds for participating optimally in an online class are 3 - 5 Mbps.
What if I don't have the internet at home? Please find a quiet space where you can attend class uninterrupted. It is acceptable to join from your school, a cafe, library, or co-working space with a strong internet signal.
What should I do if I don't have access to a computer at home? Please reach out to your professor/advisor well in advance for help troubleshooting this issue. A computer is required to fully participate in the session. Try your local library or your school’s computer lab if you have access to your school.
What if I am uncomfortable using Zoom and google docs etc. Please review this resource and if our professor will spend time acclimating you to the online learning space, and the session will be designed for you to easily participate.
Will Zoom sessions be longer? No. Instructors will work to adapt the session so that we honor the usual session time.
