Relay charges a $275-per-credit fee for any course or courses students need to repeat, opt into additional coursework, and/or when they fall below the normal course load in a term for their program/program of study. Course load per program/program of study is included in the Academic Programs Guide.
Repeat coursework is defined as a course or equivalent course students were previously registered for and must attempt to complete again. In some circumstances, students may want to register for additional courses (e.g., boost their GPA) for a given term. When this happens, the student is charged an additional $275-per-credit fee for these additional courses in addition to their regular term fee tuition. During exceptional cases when a student falls below the regular course load for their program/program of study (e.g., only taking a core class instead of both core and content), the student will be charged $275-per-credit for that course.
Students under the per-credit fee coursework will be held to the same refund calendar and billing timeline as other enrolled students. Students must fully cover their per-credit fee coursework charges in order to enroll in the term or graduate. Students who do not fully cover their charges for per-credit fee coursework by the due date risk being administratively withdrawn from the program.
Exceptions to paying the per-credit fee for repeated courses may be made for students who take approved medical or maternity leaves of absence and must repeat coursework they did not previously finish.
