Students who need to make changes to their personal information (including name, phone, and mailing address) or teaching-placement information (including school, grade, and subject area) are responsible for immediately updating the Registrar’s Office by submitting a student record update form. Students can find the form on their status page in the student support tab on the status page. It is essential that Relay always has current personal and teaching-placement information for students, as Relay will regularly contact students and students’ employers with important and time-sensitive information. Additionally, this information affects various details related to students’ enrollment, tuition, and financial aid, therefore unknown changes to students’ information can result in billing inaccuracies.
Please note: Students with Relay email may not change their email address except as a result of legal or preferred name change. Students can direct all email from their Relay email to another email address of their choice. Information on how to do this can be found in the FAQ section.
Change in Teaching Location (New State)
In compliance with US Department of Education regulations (§ 668.43(a)(5)(v) and § 668.43(c)), Relay has made determinations about whether its programs meet the educational requirements for educator licensure in each state. Individual program details vary by state, and not all programs are available at all locations. Because licensure is tied to employment and Relay requires that students are employed in a school-based position, Relay uses students' teaching locations to provide information to students about whether Relay's programs meet educational requirements for educator licensure in the state in which a student is employed.
Students are responsible for formally updating their location via the student update form if they will be employed as an educator in a different state than the state they are located in during their enrollment at Relay. Students can find the form on their status page in the student support tab on the status page.
