In order to graduate from their program, Relay requires that:
- General M.A.T.:
- Students must lead their PK–12 students to at least 70% average standards mastery and/or one year’s worth of reading growth over the course of a year.
- Special Education:
- Students must demonstrate the ability to accelerate their students’ growth around academic goals and advocate for a revision to their students’ program in support of academic or behavioral growth.
Students who do not meet these requirements have the option of submitting an appeal demonstrating alternative measures of growth and/or extenuating circumstances. Appeals are reviewed and approved or denied by the Academic Review Council (see Program Dismissal for more information)
Students who do not appeal these requirements or whose appeals are denied will have the opportunity to retake coursework in another year and meet the above graduation requirements by tracking and defending their PK–12 students’ growth. Students who retake coursework to meet graduation requirements will incur a capstone advisement fee of $500 for each term enrolled in addition to the repeat coursework fee of $275 per course credit. The fee will still apply even if the student has to retake additional courses beyond capstone coursework (e.g., taking Math-304 and SGA-314).
The capstone advisement fee will account for the modules and courses outlined below.
