Federal Student Loans
Relay certifies eligible matriculated students who are enrolled half-time in the National Student Loan Data System every two months. This takes place on the 15th of every January, March, May, July, September, and November.
If your provider is requesting you to make payments, you can also apply for a loan deferment by contacting your loan servicer. Your servicer will inform you about deferment types for which you may be eligible. Servicer information is available by logging in to your account using your FSA ID (username and password) and selecting “View loan servicer details” on your Dashboard. Please note Relay can only certify students that are considered to be the following status:
- Matriculated at half-time
- Degree-seeking OR enrolled in the Advanced Certification Special Education Program (Except the Philadelphia/Camden campus)
If you have a private loan and would like to defer your loans, you must submit a loan deferment form, which you can find through your loan provider. Please email your form to firstname.lastname@example.org. You will likely need to abide by the parameters listed above in order to defer your loans, but you should speak to your provider for further details. If your loan provider does not provide a form, Relay can provide an enrollment verification letter. please send your request to email@example.com.
