Students previously admitted to and enrolled at Relay but who took a leave of absence or withdrew can submit the reenrollment/transfer application to Relay. Students should plan to apply two months prior to the start of the requested reentrance term and no later than the requested reentrance term census date. Please note, some classes do not run for the full length of the term; as such, applications may be rejected if the required courses for the program are not being offered or have already concluded for the term. Please see Term Dates and Census Dates for more information.
Relay will evaluate applications to reenroll based on applicants’ statements submitted in the application, their current school of employment, any state- and/or program-specific requirements related to the requested reenrollment program, previous academic-standing statuses at Relay, and their outstanding financial balances (if relevant). Students who took a leave of absence for a medical/maternity leave may be asked to submit a readiness to return form signed by a medical official affirming that they are well enough to return to Relay. Students may also need to meet additional state- and/or program-specific admissions criteria before their reenrollment is granted. Students with an outstanding financial balance must resolve their entire balance due to Relay to be considered for reenrollment. Applications are reviewed by the Registrar’s Office, Certification Office, and Student Financial Services. While reenrollment is available, it is not guaranteed. If an offer is made, students should accept their offer within one week of receiving it. Timely acceptance is required to ensure reenrollment; delays in accepting a reenrollment offer may result in the offer being withdrawn and a student being required to resubmit their application for the next term.
If a student is returning to a different program and/or location, students are encouraged to reach out to support@relay.edu for additional guidance on admissions requirements and certification/licensure implications.
Upon reenrolling at Relay, students are responsible for having their current school of employment sign a school authorization form. Additionally, students must agree to the terms and conditions of the enrollment agreement for the enrolling year.
Students who are administratively withdrawn from Relay or who were dismissed are not eligible to reenroll in Relay in most circumstances. Please note, if students are administratively withdrawn due to financial reasons, students may be eligible to be considered for reenrollment to the consecutive term if past due balance is lowered to a minimum of $500.
