Below is a listing of academic and educator preparation programs offered at Relay in the 2022–2023 academic year.
The Academic Catalog (for Year One students in Connecticut, Illinois, Tennessee, and Texas) and Academic Programs Guide (for all other students) include overviews of each of these programs. Individual program details vary by state, and not all programs are available at all locations or in both online and local modalities. State- and program-specific details can be found in the Academic Catalog and Academic Programs Guide.
Prospective teachers may participate in Relay’s degree and certification/licensure programs through the Relay Teaching Residency, which offers structured support for aspiring teachers. Not only will students learn from seasoned professionals as they complete their graduate degree coursework, but they will also earn a teaching certification/licensure and have an apprentice year where they will get hands-on classroom experience. This gradual on-ramp towards teaching and managing a classroom will give them the knowledge, skills, and confidence they need to excel as a teacher of record. The Relay Teaching Residency is offered through partnerships with select partner schools, districts, and networks. Coursework and clinical experiences for students in the Residency will differ in some respects from coursework and clinical experiences for non-Residents.
