Bachelor’s Degree Transcript Requirements

Applicants must submit an official transcript that demonstrates that they have earned their bachelor’s degree in order to be admitted to Relay.

Conditional Admissions

Applicants who were enrolled in coursework at their bachelor’s degree-granting institution during the spring or summer terms of 2024 who have submitted an official transcript showing coursework in progress from the spring or summer terms of 2024, who cannot yet furnish an official transcript demonstrating that they have earned their bachelor’s degree at the time of admission may be conditionally admitted to Relay. NOTE: The 2024 Spring Start applicants CANNOT be admitted as conditionally admitted and must submit their official transcript showing their bachelor’s degree earned in order to complete the admissions process and receive a decision

  • The official transcript that demonstrates that an applicant has earned a bachelor’s degree may be sent to Relay via Option 1 or Option 2 above.

Please see our Conditional Admissions policy for more details.

Note: An applicant conditionally admitted with their official bachelor’s degree transcript outstanding (Conditionally admitted due to Outstanding Bachelor’s Degree), must submit an official transcript demonstrating that they have earned their bachelor’s degree by August 1, 2024, to become fully enrolled at Relay. Please note that a student who has been conditionally admitted and who fails to submit their transcript by the deadlines stated below may be administratively withdrawn from Relay.

Transcripts Needs For Individual Campuses

While Relay requires transcripts from all institutions of higher education an applicant has attended to be submitted for review, some campuses (state locations) allow an exception and may admit applicants who have only provided their official bachelor’s degree transcript. Transcript exceptions are made at the discretion of the admissions and certification teams.

If the Relay campus does not require all transcripts (listed below), applicants may still be asked to submit unreceived transcripts during the admissions process if more information is needed in order to issue an admissions decision.

Additionally, campuses that require all transcripts (listed below) may waive a transcript requirement in specific instances. This is rare and is done on a case-by-case basis.

States that require all transcripts before releasing an admissions decision:

  • Connecticut

  • Delaware

  • Illinois

  • New Jersey

  • New York

  • Texas

If you are applying to a state that requires all transcripts, please order official transcripts from all institutions of higher education you’ve attended to be sent to Relay when you begin your application.

States that require at least the official bachelor’s transcript before releasing an admissions decision:

  • Colorado

  • Georgia

  • Pennsylvania

  • Rhode Island

  • Tennessee

  • Washington D.C.

If you are applying to a state that may only need the official bachelor’s transcript, please order your official bachelor’s degree-conferred transcript when you begin your application. Relay will notify you if additional transcripts are required.
