ENGLISH

Nelnet Student Dashboard

In prior years, Relay took a portion of your tuition due each term and postponed the payment of that portion until the end of the year. That was known as deferred tuition. Beginning 2021, Relay will allow you to make advanced payments throughout the year towards this postponed balance by making it accessible during each term rather than only at the end of the year.  This balance can be seen in your Nelnet portal as Pending Award/Unpaid Tuition balance.

Anticipated awards earned at the end of the academic year and also will show on your Nelnet portal as a Pending Award /Unpaid Tuition balance.  If you are unsure whether you have a pending award/unpaid tuition, please check your financial aid offer letter for the awards titled "Anticipated AmeriCorps Award" or "Anticipated Relay Residency."  Awards you might expect to earn and receive at the end of the academic year are:

  • Segal AmeriCorps Education Award
  • TFA Education Award
  • Relay Residency Scholarship
  • Third party school scholarship
  • External scholarship

Exiting Relay Early

If you withdraw early, take a leave of absence, or are dismissed from the program before the end of the academic year, you are responsible for the unpaid tuition balance if your pending award is not earned or not applied to the outstanding balance.

Applying Awards to a Balance

If you choose to use the AmeriCorps Segal Education Award or the TFA Education Award, you must apply the award to Relay through the myAmeriCorps portal or a form provided by TFA, respectively. This processing may take up to two to four weeks. The Relay Residency Scholarship will be applied to eligible accounts directly by Student Financial Services.
