Positioning Your Camera

The placement of your camera when filming your classroom is critical. It’s important to think about the picture you want to record AND the audio you want to record. The built-in microphone on the camera is rather small, and if your camera is far from the audio source or the speaker is facing away from the camera, you may not capture the audio you want of your teaching/classroom conversations. The following scenario will help you think about the best placement of the camera for different purposes.
