It takes the Admissions team time to review transcripts. Please give us 5-7 business days upon receiving your transcript to approve and move you forward in the process.

The fastest and easiest way for you to see when your transcripts, recommendations and other admissions materials have arrived and been approved by Relay is by monitoring your personalized Admissions Checklist on your Status Page

Please check your Admissions Checklist regularly to monitor the completeness of your application and admissions portfolio.

Important Notes:

  1. Applicants to Relay will see the following item on their admissions checklist, “Staff Reviewed: Official Transcript Showing Bachelor’s Degree earned”.

Applicants are able to track receipt of transcripts submitted to Relay on their admissions checklist. For each institution attended, applicants can see if the transcript is Awaiting or if it has been Received. This tracks the physical or electronic receipt of your transcripts.

Applicants must submit an official transcript that demonstrates that they have earned their bachelor’s degree in order to be admitted to Relay. Staff Reviewed: Official Transcript Showing Bachelor’s Degree earned is where an applicant can track that we have received and reviewed your transcript and that we have determined that it demonstrates that you have earned your bachelor’s degree. This item will show as Awaiting until Relay has received and reviewed your transcript. Once we have confirmed that your transcript demonstrates that you have earned your bachelor’s degree, the item will change to Received.

  1. Complete Applications: We can only review completed applications, so the sooner we receive all your materials (including your transcripts and recommendations as well as other forms on your personalized Admissions Checklist on your status page, like your Program & Instructional Role Form and Awards & Scholarships Form), the sooner you will receive your admissions decision and access to coursework.

  2. Timelines: While timelines vary depending on your program and application details, you can expect to receive an admissions decision 4–6 weeks after you submit a complete application.

Application Checklist:

  • Here you will be able to track the submission fo your recommendation.

  • If you need to re-send notification emails or change your recommender, please click the link to re-visit the Recommendations Page.

Admissions Checklist(s):

  • The Program & Instructional Role and Awards & Scholarships forms are the first to populate on your checklist. Please start with the Program & Instructional Role Form. Additional forms will appear within a few hours of submitting your Program & Instructional Role Form. These will be unique to your program and campus location.

  • In addition to these forms, you can track whether or not Relay has received your "Staff Reviewed: Official Transcript Showing Bachelor's Degree Earned." Each institution of higher education that you attended will display on the Admissions Checklist. These will appear as "X Awaiting" until Relay has received and reviewed your transcripts and they will change to "✔ Received" once assessed. For more information on transcripts criteria please see our Transcripts Guide.

  • If you are applying for admission to both Relay as an institution of higher education to pursue your master's degree and Relay as an educator preparation program to pursue certification/licensure, you will see two checklists, one for each point of admission.

Your Information:

  • You will be able to see a summary of the outcome, program version, endorsement areas, and campus where you will be pursuing a program.

Application Stage:

  • Application Incomplete: An "Incomplete" Status means that we are missing items required for admissions. Please check your Application and Admissions Checklist(s) for any outstanding items.

    • If everything shows as received, it is likely that we recently received your transcript(s) and are in the process of reviewing those documents. In that case, look for your status to change within 3-5 business days.
  • Application Under Review: Your application and admissions requirements are currently being reviewed by our national and campus teams.

  • Application Under Review - Resubmission Needed: You have been asked to resubmit an item on your status page. Please check your email for details.

  • Waitlisted: You have been offered a decision on Relay's waitlist for admission. Please check your email for details.

  • Admissions Decision Released: A decision has been made regarding your application. Please click on View Update to view details. If you are offered admissions, here you will have the opportunity to review and sign your enrollment agreement, accepting your offer of admissions to Relay.

  • Admitted into Relay: You have received and accepted your offer of admissions to Relay.

  • Admitted into Relay, EPP Admission Pending: You have received and accepted your offer of admissions to Relay, but have outstanding requirements that you need to submit in order to be admitted into the educator preparation program (EPP) in your state.
