Prepare for classes

  1. Know your program outcome (Master of Arts in Teaching (MAT) with or without certification/licensure, certification/licensure only, or Advanced Certificate in Special Education) and your endorsement area. Make sure it fully algins with your instructional role and what you hope to gain as an educator and graduate student.

  2. Prepare for an online program, using the following platforms:

    • Canvas - where students will access asynchronous coursework and submit assignments.

    • Zoom - where students will join synchronous coursework.

    • Nearpod - where students will engage with coursework presentations and activities.

    • Anthology Student - where students will access their records and registration.

    • Anthology Portfolio - where students will submit certification/licensure requirements and access other certification/licensure resources

  3. Know your start date and schedule for your first term at Relay.  This will be emailed to you on your official student email account shortly after being admitted.  Depending on your location, you may have an in-person orientation, so pay particular attention to these requirements.  Students will be automatically registered for classes after admission.

  4. Aim for a successful first day.  Arrive early, giving yourself time to troubleshoot any technical challenges.  Be mindful of your first impression.
