Restrictions and Implications

• Advanced certificate in special education in all locations only available for fall term starts.
• New York four-term residency programs only available for summer term starts.
• Spring start programs often have unique nuances due to state regulations. We recommend you discuss these with one of our admissions liaisons before completing your application.
• New York students starting in the Extended Deadline or the Fall term will not be eligible for a Trans B certificate until Spring 2027.
• Illinois and New Jersey students who start in the extended deadline or Fall term will not be eligible for a license until Spring 2027 and will not be eligible to complete their program until Fall 2028.
• If you have been provisionally admitted, please review the deadlines on this page to determine when we will need your official, degree-conferred transcript for you to enroll in classes.
