What Are Transition Points?
During your time at Relay, you'll complete four transition points. Think of these as critical checkpoints that keep you on track toward fulfilling your state's requirements for certification.
Each transition point has its own requirements and a deadline. You'll need to complete the requirements on or before the deadline. Missing these deadlines can result in serious consequences, including unenrollment from Relay or loss of employment.
How do I know which Transition Points(TPs) I should follow?
Transition points are based on the Educator Preparation Program you're enrolled in. You can find which one connects to your program on the Washington DC Program Offerings page or by reaching out to your Admissions Liaison at [email protected] or texting us at 646-502-6048.

A Note About Your Certification Pathway
Relay is recognized as an approved, out-of-state educator preparation program in Washington DC. You'll enroll in our Colorado educator preparation program if you're pursuing a degree in special education, early childhood education, and/or social studies, and upon completion, Relay will verify your program completion. You can then use this verification to apply for licensure in your home location. Each location sets its own requirements for certification, reciprocity, and equivalent endorsements, and will make all final determinations when reviewing your application.
