Your financial aid offer arrives before the academic year begins. After that, federal aid documentation and tuition payments are each due on specific deadlines each term. This article covers all three.

Your Financial Aid Offer
We send financial aid offers to your Relay student email address. Your offer includes a breakdown of your tuition charges, financial aid, partner contribution details, and financial options to explore.
When you receive your offer depends on where you are in your program:

Second year/continuing students receive their offer before the start of the next academic year — typically the end of May or early June.

First year/incoming students receive their offer starting the first week of June, within two weeks of signing their enrollment agreement.
Federal Aid Documentation Deadlines
If you're applying for a Direct Unsubsidized Loan or TEACH Grant, all required documentation must be on file before each term's deadline. If your documentation isn't complete by the time the deadline passes, your federal aid request won't be processed for that term.

Tuition Due Dates
When charges are applied each term, you'll receive an email billing notification from Nelnet with payment instructions and your exact due date, along with monthly reminders. You're responsible for paying by each term's due date to avoid a Registration Hold on your account.

Things to Know

First year/incoming students: Your Summer term billing notification will arrive during the Summer term, but payment isn't due until Fall — the same date as your Fall bill. Your Fall term bill will be sent at the end of the Summer term, after the registration period.

AmeriCorps recipients: Your Segal AmeriCorps Education Award isn't available until the end of the academic year, and won't be applied against your tuition charges during the year. You remain responsible for covering your tuition balance by each term's due date. If you earn an education award at year's end, you can use those funds to reimburse yourself for out-of-pocket costs paid during the year, or put them toward any other educational expenses.
